Morphological variations of the lung fissure and lobes: A case study of a Kenyan female cadaver
Abstract/ Overview
Incidences of variations in the number of lung fissures and lobes have been documented. However,
this case presents with a unique course and termination of the fissure of the left lung leading to
changes in the morphology of bronchopulmonary segments. Any changes in the standard text book
description of vital organs must be reported in view of the significant effects these variations may have
during medical intervention.
